Project Highlights & Results

  • Conversion of an existing warehouse/office building to serve as Kankakee Community College’s Manufacturing & Industrial Technology Center inclusive of both laboratory (welding, manufacturing technology, machine tool, and millwright) and classroom spaces.
  • Gut rehab of existing building with entirely new MEPFP systems to support the MITC program including specialty exhaust, power, and compressed air systems to support the laboratory functions (up to 40-booths) while maintaining a flexible space.
  • Designed independent HVAC systems for the classroom (VAV AHU w/ perimeter radiation) and laboratory spaces (gas-fired MAU for ventilation w/ gas-fired infrared tube heaters
