Technology Engineer

Elara Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Engineer to support the growth of any of our multi-disciplinary engineering design studios which includes Commercial & Multifamily, Higher Education, K-12 & Municipal, and Life Sciences & Healthcare. The selected individual should have direct experience performing conceptual design, preparing engineering construction documentation with production support from others, and overseeing implementation for a wide variety of projects. 

• Ability to develop and coordinate technology (i.e., information communication technology, AV, security) designs from concept through construction with minimal oversight. 

• Experience with new construction, renovation, and/or retrofit projects. 

• Direct experience with design and documentation of information communication technology cabling systems, electronic security systems, audiovisual, paging, nurse call, and intercom/clock/paging systems. 

• Desire to learn and apply sustainable and resilient technology strategies within building design. 

• Strong organizational and communication skills with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach. 

• Working knowledge of applicable building, electrical, and low voltage codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 72, BICSI, TIA, AVIXA). 

• Experience both developing engineering documentation utilizing Revit and preparing markups or direction for production staff. 

• Experience developing Division 27/28 Master Specifications. 

• Preferred: 

• Professional Engineer (PE)  

• RCDD certification 

• AVIXA CTS-D certification
