Elara Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Chicago or Hillside office. The selected individual should have direct experience managing multiple projects and experience managing individuals on a project basis. The individual should have experience working with architects, contractors, and project managers. Management goals are strongly desired with pathways to team management available.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and individuals
- Ability to take an electrical design from concept to construction with minimal oversight
- Experience with new construction and renovation projects
- Desire to learn and apply sustainable strategies
- Experience with lighting and lighting control design
- Fire alarm design experience
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Passion for training individuals
- Ability to thoroughly review other engineers work and provide constructive feedback
- Preferred:
- Experience with City of Chicago codes
- Illinois PE license
- Retrofit project experience
