Project Manager

Elara Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the growth of any of our multi-disciplinary engineering design studios which includes Commercial & Multifamily, Higher Education, K-12 & Municipal, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Building Performance. The selected individual should have direct experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and a team of engineers and coordinators on a project basis. Must have proven experience collaborating with sub-trades and consultants to deliver a successful design and managing projects to profit goals.

  • Experience with proactive project management including direction and coordination of all MEPFPIT disciplines and external Architectural disciplines
  • Strong technical knowledge pertaining to all MEPFPIT systems and able to guide design decisions for all trades on a project basis.
  • Ability to lead projects from inception to completion, including managing the efforts of the team to a project budget (Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction/Permit Documents, Construction Administration, Project Closeout & Punchlist)
  • Moderate technical knowledge pertaining to all MEPFPIT systems. Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines. Ability to guide design decisions for all trades on a project basis. Able to represent the entire project team in meetings with the architect, client, and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building and energy codes and standards
  • Experience maintaining and developing positive and productive relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Passion for energy efficiency and sustainable design.
  • Preferred:
    • PE License
    • LEED, Passive House, Well, or other green certification experience
    • Central plant design experience
    • Experience with cost estimating and budget evaluation of projects
SALARY & BENEFITS:     $100,000 – $135,000
