Elara Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the growth of our Higher Education design team. The selected individual should have direct experience managing multiple projects and must have proven experience working with sub-trades and consultants to deliver a successful design. The individual should have experience working with architects, contractors, and project managers. Hydronic, including central plant, and sustainable design experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects along with assigned engineering support (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design and sustainable solutions
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Experience working directly with clients and architects
- Strong communication skills and initiative
- Passion for energy efficiency and/or sustainable design
- Preferred:
- Central plant design experience
- Energy modeling experience
- LEED, Passive House, Well, or other green certification experience
